College Scholarships
The Western Illinois Chapter of Farm Safety 4 Just Kids awards up to two $300 scholarships annually to qualified high school seniors in Western Illinois. The scholarships provide an incentive for young people to volunteer in safety programs throughout the Western Illinois area. Any graduating senior may apply.

2011 Scholarships

Kayla Woodward (left) and Rachel Whitlock (right), graduating seniors at Western Community School in Barry, have each been awarded a $300 college scholarships for 2011.
Both girls have been active in FAA, 4H and FS4JK programs throughout their high school years, participating in conducting puppet shows and other activities teaching younger children how to stay safe on the farm. Kayla plans to attend Hannibal-LaGrange University to earn a nursing degree and Rachel is planning to attend John Wood Community College and Western Illinois University majoring in agriculture education.
