     The National Office of Farm Safety 4 Just Kids. Since its establishment in 1987, Farm Safety 4 Just Kids has grown from a small, local grassroots organization to an internationally recognized force advocating the prevention of farm-related childhood injuries, health risks and fatalities. It has undertaken a comprehensive program that works within the existing farm culture to help adults become more responsible farm parents and to help kids learn to participate in a farm life free from harm.

     Today, the non-profit organization is working in communities throughout North America to educate children and their parents about a variety of farm dangers. To date, Farm Safety 4 Just Kids has attracted over 3,000 members and 78 chapters who work to promote the safety of children on the farm.

National Safety Council

     The National Safety Council is a nonprofit, nongovernmental public service organization acknowledged as the premier safety and health resource in the country. The organization's homepage offers more information about the group, its chapters, and membership services. The site also provides a library section for safety research and statistics, and a publications section, which includes information from Family Safety and Health magazine.







Indiana Rural Safety and Health Council

     The Indiana Rural Safety and Health Council is a volunteer group whose purpose is to promote activities throughout the state which will result in safer and healthier living for all Indiana families residing on farms and in rural areas. The primary long-range objective of the Council is to reduce the incidence of Injuries and occupational illness on farms and in rural Indiana communities. Over the past decade the Council has worked specifically to reduce the number of farm-related fatalities by five percent per year.
